ASL interpreters, CART Captioning, Audio Description, and mobility device access: FringeArts teams up with Art-Reach to present a radically accessible concert.
The hairy-chested, fake eyelash-laden alter-ego of thespian Dito Van Reigersberg performs a balls-to-the-wall drag cabaret. Backed by her stellar band and with her killer voice, Martha Graham Cracker takes you on a raucous, joyous, uninhibited ride around her world.
This landmark performance will include accessible accommodations, enabling people with disabilities to experience the force of nature that is Martha Graham Cracker. These accommodations include:
- ASL (American sign language interpreters) live on-stage, signing Martha’s every word,
- CART (Computer Aided Real-Time) Captioning, words visible on screen for people with hearing loss, and
- Audio description, which provides live descriptions of the show’s action for people who are blind or visually impaired.
FringeArts is also working closely with Art-Reach to be sure plenty of space is available for individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
