Helen Pickett, currently one of the most in-demand choreographers, is staging a new work for Pennsylvania Ballet this fall. Since much has been written about the lack of opportunities for female choreographers in the world of ballet, we are hosting a symposium with a panel of female dancers, choreographers and other female dance professionals to discuss the current state of women in leadership roles, both in ballet and in the broader world of dance.  This insightful conversation will be moderated by the legendary Brenda Dixon-Gottschild.

Join us for an evening of conversation Monday, October 30, 2017 at FringeArts. This event is free and open to the public thanks to our partnership with FringeArts and support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Panelists: Helen Pickett, Annie-B Parson, Terry Fox, Francesca Harper, Virginia Johnson, Christine Cox
