The amazing team!  Everyone is so helpful and truly wants to see you succeed.

What is your favorite place in Philly?

The last time I was in the city, some friends and I took a picnic out on the green outside Independence Hall. While my favorite thing to do in Philly is wander around and get lost finding neighborhoods I’ve never been to, that green right now represents my memories of the city.

If you were a plant, what plant would you be?

Definitely an herb – maybe rosemary or dill.

What food do you absolutely hate?

Coconut.

Pronouns: she/her
Temple University
Major: Graphic and Interactive Design
Internship: Graphic Design

What do you like about your internship so far?

Working with FringeArts remotely has provided me practice working with others virtually, which even in a post-COVID world will be a valuable skill to have as a Graphic Designer.

What is the wildest thing you’ve ever done?

Earlier this year, I got the chance to travel around Japan. I was there to study for my Spring 2020 semester, and while I did take trips some with friends, most of my traveling was done alone. It might not sound that wild in writing, but it’s really exciting (and scary!) traveling around a country so different than your own (especially because I don’t know a lick of Japanese).

If you were a plant, what plant would you be?

Venus Flytrap. I just think they’re neat!

Pronouns: he/him

Waverly St over the winter gets entirely lit up by Christmas lights and it’s the most magical place I’ve seen.

What was the last book you read?

Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi.

Drexel University
Major: Music Industry with a Dual Minor in Business Administration and Legal Studies
Internship: Financial Management

What do you like about your internship so far?

I enjoy how much more I’ve been able to learn about the financial aspects of a company as quickly as I have. I appreciate that I have a good amount of responsibility but not too much and that I already feel as if I am doing a lot for my department.

If you were a plant, what plant would you be?

I would be an oak tree since they are strong and live for a long time.

If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be?

Saquon Barkley as I’m a huge football and Giants fan.

Pronouns: she/her

Watch The Sopranos.

Pronouns: she/her
Temple University

Major: Tourism & Hospitality Management
Internship: FEASTIVAL Special Events

If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be?

I would want to meet Jack Black because he has never made a bad movie. School of Rock? Amazing. The Holiday? One of the best Christmas movies. Goosebumps? You would think it would be questionable but he made it untouchable. I will take no criticism on this.

What do you like about your internship so far?

I love how my supervisors include me on every project they can, so I can get a feel for everything that goes into FEASTIVAL.

Describe your perfect vacation.

Visiting Forks, Washington is my ideal vacation. I want to see the haunted Renesmee doll with my own eyes.

Pronouns: he/him

What is the wildest thing you’ve ever done?

There are so many things that come to mind…. it might be the fact that I am 21 and am still playing with Legos.

What was the last book you read?

Black Hole, it’s a graphic novel set in the 1970s about an STD that spreads in a town in Seattle I believe. It’s very creepy.

What do you like about your internship so far?

I think the most exciting thing about my internship so far is that I get to have a first hand experience of editing and producing a podcast. Not to mention that I get to hear from some of the most creative people in the city of Philadelphia.

Pronouns: she/her
Rider University

Major: Arts & Entertainment Management with Minors in Dance and English

What do you like about your internship so far?

I love the community of passion driven people I have been introduced to during my internship. Even though the internship is online, I am learning so much about the Philadelphia arts scene and how dedicated the Fringe team is to their cause. Being a part of the Development team has given me valuable experience and has taught me so much, I feel ready for my career in the arts!

What is your favorite place in Philly?

I love the aesthetic and feel of walking down South Street to the Delaware River. I discover something new every time!

Temple University

Major: English and Gender Studies
Internship: Communications

What do you like about your internship so far?

It feels really good to be connected to an artistic community, and I like learning about the inner workings of what goes into creating a festival. I’m understanding more about marketing as a field, which I could translate into a career later on.

Describe your perfect vacation.

Laying on the sand in the Bahamas, with a book in one hand and a fruity cocktail in the other.

If you were a plant, what plant would you be?

I’d be a snake plant. They’re tough and resilient, they can survive anything, even if you forget to water them for weeks.

What do you like about your internship so far?

I really enjoy working on a small team! I feel supported in the work I’m doing and in my goals for this internship. On top of that, I love that this position allows me to be involved in a creative space without being an artist myself.

What is your favorite place in Philly?

Hard to choose, but I love Big Dog Run at the Schuylkill River.

What was the last book you read?

Drown by Junot Díaz.
