PAC Center Rehearsal Retreats

PAC Center Summer Rehearsal Retreats

The Park Avenue Community Center in Swarthmore is thrilled to offer low cost rehearsal space to Independent Artists preparing for the 2022 Philadelphia Fringe Festival!  For $300 a month, artists will have access to up to 60 hours of rehearsal time in one of the four available rehearsal spaces on site.

Summer Sessions

Artists may apply to one or more of 3 Summer Sessions

Each Session can host 4 different artist groups in the 4 available rehearsal spaces

June – Ideal for artists in early development stages of their performances. A great time for workshopping, experimenting, and engaging with other artists.

July – For projects in mid-development. Out of workshopping sessions and into rehearsal periods.

August – Best for artists in late rehearsal stages of their work. This session culminates in a community open house showing. Much like FringeArts “Scratch Nights” artists will be asked to present audiences with a short preview performance of their Fringe Festival shows.

Rehearsal Times

Each artist group will have access to 60 hours of rehearsal time.

Weeknights 7 pm – 10 pm. (There is wiggle room for earlier and later, please contact if needed)

Saturdays 10 am – 10 pm

Sundays 4:00 pm – 10 pm

More About the Park Avenue Community Center

In its inaugural year, The Pac Center serves the people of Swarthmore and surrounding neighborhoods by cultivating programs, classes, and events that nurture the human to human interactions that are vital for a full life and thriving, interconnected communities.  On a given day this looks like yoga in the morning, kids’ after school arts classes, a local musician jam session in the evening, a mystery themed book club, country line dancing, a support group, or chamber concert performed by members of Philadelphia Symphony.  The Pac Center is on a mission to fill it’s 40,000 square feet of event, classroom, performance space with the people and projects that bring us together, inspire neighbors to connect in new ways, and generate goodwill.  We are excited to welcome the Independent Artists of the 2022 Fringe to participate in this venture.
