Annex Dance Company (SC) and Drye/Marinaro Dance Company (NY) return to the Philly Fringe with 763 Miles, an evening of modern dance exploring relationships, intersections, and new beginnings. With each company sharing repertory, they challenge the audience to find connections between works created miles apart.

Under the artistic direction of Kristin Alexander, Annex Dance Company premiered in November 2007 in Bethlehem, PA. A professional, classical modern dance company with an edge, Annex Dance Company, compromised of five dancers, has been committed to promoting the arts in its home location, as well as around the globe. In 2010, Annex Dance Company made Charleston, SC its new home, quickly joining the city’s thriving arts community. Currently in its 8th season, Annex Dance Company has performed throughout the east coast including Philly Fringe Festival, District Dance Share (DC), STEPS Performance Series (NY), Annual Richmond Choreographers Showcase (VA), Greenville Dance Festival, Charleston Dance Festival, and Piccolo Spoleto Festival. The company works with students in Charleston County Schools through Engaging Creative Minds and spends part of the summer in-residence at Endless Mountains Dance Camp (PA). Through performance, collaboration, and educational outreach, Annex Dance Company is committed to arts advocacy and opportunities for dancers at all levels, students through professionals.
Drye/ Marinaro Dance Company is co-founded by artistic directors Jamie Drye and Francesca Marinaro. Marrying their artistic developments with an extraordinary diversified blend of dancers, DM brings power, passion, and vigor to the stage. In 4 years, DM Dance has performed in many festivals along the east coast, presented 3 self-produced shows, and co-produced the Fresh Dance Series; Traveling to North Carolina, Washington D.C, Philadelphia, and New York City. DM Dance is a unique and stylistically diverse dance company that strives to support the evolution of dance as an art, an expression, and a way of life. Striving not only to entertain, but also to intrigue audiences with thought provoking themes; using dance as the medium to make connections to life and real human interactions.
