Alice: not your child’s wonderland

You are invited to the party of a lifetime at the lavish Glen Foerd Estate along the Delaware River. As festivities devolve into debaucherous bacchanalia, Alice hides from the adults, comforted by a familiar bedtime story. The two worlds clash and fuse into a topsy-turvy Wonderland as she seeks out safety in a world without boundaries. Sip champagne and nibble hors d’oeuvres under an open-air performance tent for this bold re-envisioning of Lewis Carroll’s cherished children’s story, which is not for children.

“Eissler’s talents are prodigious and precocious; his future work must be watched” –Broad Street Review

“Jenna Kuerzi is a dynamic actor who embodies each of her roles with grace and animation, making clear emotional choices and enthralling all ages in the audience.” —Broad Street Review

About the Artists

Dane Eissler (Adaptor/Director) is a theater director/designer/performer and visual artist creating work described as “cleverly visceral, vulgar, and delicious.” In Philly, he has worked with B.R.A.T. Productions, Azuka Theatre, and the Going Viral Festival. He currently serves as Associate Producer at EgoPo Classic Theater, where he co-directed Stairs to the Roof, adapted/directed The Nose, and directed Buried Child and UND3RGR0UND. In Chicago, he co-founded and artistic directed the multidisciplinary performance collective A Dead Whale Productions, and worked with Rough House, Women of the Now, The Whiskey Rebellion Theatre, Theatre-Hikes, Megan Stalter’s Freak Fest, and The Annoyance. @dmeissler He/They

Jenna Kuerzi (Adaptor) is an actor and singer making new (and lifting old!) work. Jenna has worked regionally with the Arden, Tribe of Fools, 11th Hour, Shakespeare in Clark Park, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, Revolution Shakespeare, and more. Jenna’s solo-ish show, “Johnny Depp: A Retrospective on Late-Stage Capitalism”, (co-created with Val Dunn) traveled to the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe, sold out at Fergie’s Pub, and has spun off into the podcast Depp Impact, available on iTunes, Spotify, and wherever one can listen to podcasts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jenna started “Dumpster Fires For You” (@dumpsterfiresforyou on Instagram, Facebook, and Etsy), making 100% soy candles using essential oils and up-cycled materials. @lessthanamuffin She/Her
