Happy Hour on the Fringe
In this episode, FringeArts Marketing Manager Raina Searles and Artistic Producer Katy Dammers chat with Kitsie O’Neill, Executive Director of the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts. The three discuss how PSCA is continuing to teach classes amid the pandemic, why being connected during this time is so important, and tightrope walking with chalk!
About the Artists
Since 2001, PSCA has been offering recreational circus classes to adults and children in Northwest Philadelphia. Trapeze, silks, tightwire, acrobatics, juggling—there is something for everyone at their spacious Mt. Airy facility, where they teach over 600 students per week, aged 3-75. Birthday parties, corporate team-building, summer camp and flying trapeze are just a few of the programs on offer. Visit www.phillycircus.com for more information.
Circus Midway is part of the SPARK: Fringe for Young Audiences series of family-friendly programming. The SPARK Series is made possible by a leadership gift from the Virginia and Harvey Kimmel Arts Education Fund of The Philadelphia Foundation. Originally slated to be included in the Hand to Hand Circus Festival, presented by PECO.
