Colored Girls Museum Festival celebrates the diverse culture and myriad stories of the “ordinary extraordinary colored girl” through music, featured artists, vendors and a open community dance party. This pop-up Colored Girls Museum experience and celebration of black girl magic will be curated by Ian Friday-–internationally known Global Soul DJ, producer and Associate Director of The Colored Girls Museum

This event kicks off the Colored Girls Museum upcoming fall show in this year’s Fringe Festival.  The Colored Girls Museum will present “A Good Nights Sleep”, a multi-disciplinary salon series.

About The Colored Girls Museum
The Colored Girls Museum is a House Museum located in Historic Germantown Philadelphia. The Museum documents and shares the stories and artifacts of “ordinary colored girls“. Submissions by artists and curators are accepted through an open call process once a year.
The Colored Girls Museum debuted in the 2015 Philadelphia Fringe Festival and began hosting museum tours in March of 2016. Most recently the museum was awarded the Art and Change Grant by the Leeway Foundation. The Colored Girls Museum is open Sundays from 12:00 – 4:00 and by special appointment.
