Inspired by the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, Sarah Ruhl reimagines this magical tale of love and loss with a modern day twist in Eurydice. Orpheus and Eurydice meet and fall in love. On their wedding day, Eurydice dies in a tragic accident. Orpheus travels to the Underworld to rescue her, but is given an ultimatum that twists their fate. Along the way, we meet the Lord of the Underworld, the “Stones”, and Eurydice’s father. This poignant tale about the enduring beauty of life and the cost of love will make you laugh and break your heart.
