For the 2020 Fringe Festival, First Person Arts and Da Vinci Art Alliance are collaborating to produce the Virtual StorySlam: Mother of Invention.
This project, conceived long before COVID-19 struck the United States, has grown to truly embody its name. Five members from the audience will be selected to share a true, personal story of 5-minutes or less on the theme: Mother of Invention. Want to tell a story?! Toss your name in the virtual bucket by filling out this form and we will select the next five storytellers via Facebook Live on September 1st. The Virtual StorySlams will be shared through ZOOM video conferencing software. Audience members will be able to see and text chat with the host and timekeeper as well as choose the audience favorite. After you register for your ticket, you will get an email with the link to join the StorySlam before it starts.

We believe everyone has a story to tell, and that when we have an embracing space to share our stories, we connect with each other and the world. Since the pandemic, we’ve pivoted from live to online programs including, Virtual StorySlams, COVID Stories – A Digital Memoir from the Pandemic (on our YouTube Channel), podcasts and more.
