Yale professor Tom Sellar will lecture with filmed excerpts of works by renowned Italian theater director Romeo Castellucci, in advance of live performances of Castellucci’s The Four Seasons Restaurant, presented as part of the 2014 Fringe Festival. Described as both radical and ruthless, Castellucci’s The Four Seasons Restaurant includes the deafening sound of a black hole as recorded by NASA, and a scene in which women appear to cut off their tongues. Come explore this amazing and daring artist.

About the moderator:
Tom Sellar is an associate professor of Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism at the Yale School of Drama and Editor of Yale’s international performance journal Theater. His criticism and reporting have appeared in national publications including The New York Times, American Theatre, and International Herald Tribune. He is also the lead theater critic of the Village Voice.
