The Skinner Studio at Plays and Players
FRESH INK SHORTS is an intriguing, fast-paced evening of new original short plays by award-winning writers — from one-minute amuse-bouches to more elaborate courses of the comic, the poignant, and the wondrous strange. The eight to ten shorts are performed by seven talented actors, coming together in various combinations to build each new world they’ll inhabit. The individual pieces are separated by provocative sound and light cues that provide a rhythm and intensity that seamlessly move the action from one scenario to the next. From AI reaching singularity in a supermarket checkout lane, to a blistering single-word indictment of government, to musings on realizing you’re actually a God, FRESH INK SHORTS delivers a tantalizing 75 minutes of thought-provoking theater. Produced and presented by TheatreXP at the Skinner Studio at Plays and Players, 1714 Delancey Place, Philadelphia. Visit their website at theatrexp.org for more information on this Florida Keys company newly transplanted to Philadelphia.

About the Artist
TheatreXP, Inc. is a 501c.3. non-profit that has produced over 40 theatrical events in the past decade — from mainstage full-length plays, readings, special theatrical events, and more. We have concentrated on original material, though we’ve mounted productions of some of the more iconic pieces of modern theater. While we have been working extensively in Southern Florida for the past few years, we have now enthusiastically returned to Philadelphia and hope to become valued colleagues in the theatrical community.
