La Peg at FringeArtsMap
Peg is done edging. She’s ready for a big finish. Since February 2016 the elusive Peg (a.k.a. John Jarboe a.k.a. the impresario of The Bearded Ladies Cabaret) has provided you with monthly treats at her home and namesake La Peg. Every month (sort of) for seven years you have been able to eat burgers and sip cocktails while famed cabaret artists from around the world serenade you, artists from Joey Arias and Justin Vivian Bond to Tareke Ortiz and Dynasty Handbag. We’ve also featured local luminaries like Martha Graham Cracker, Cookie Diorio, Sapphira Cristál, Emily Bate, and Glitter and Garbage. See below for a full list.
After all that build up she is ready to erupt into her next chapter with you. Come celebrate seven years of Pegging with Peg and some of her favorite artists. This climax will involve a live band led by silver fox Heath Allen and a tour of all the costumes from seven years of pegging.
Masks are strongly recommended when not eating or drinking. Vaccine cards will be checked upon entry.
Please dress to the theme “Funeral Realness” to celebrate the end of 7 years of Get Pegged.
