Tavern Productions teams up with PAFA Performs to premiere Gilbert and Sullivan’s Switched!, or The Insider and the Outsider in the 2016 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Tavern Productions has provided the Greater Philadelphia area with quality entertainment since its inception in 2014. Its last project, Merlin and Wart, won critical acclaim and Switched! cast member, Andrew Blasenak, garnered several accolades by critics in the title role of Merlin. PAFA Performs is the brainchild of PAFA student, John Sigmund, who wanted to bring the performing arts to his fellow students at the institution. The story of Switched! brings the issues of #blacklivesmatter into the forefront of American Musical Theatre.
