

I, Peaseblossom is the story of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream told through the fevered dreams of a neglected fairy. It is a funny, interactive, and sometimes anarchic piece of theatre that excels in establishing a relationship between the audience and the performer.

This solo piece was written and originally performed by UK theatre artist Tim Crouch. Curio company member and co-founding artistic director of PAC (Philadelphia Artist Collective), Dan Hodge, directs long time Curio company member Brian McCann as Peaseblossom. Brian has been in many Curio productions and is an actor-about-town in Philadelphia theaters. He was last seen in Curio’s Barrymore Recommended production of Waiting for Godot as Vladimir. Curio Theatre Company is a theatre staple in West Philadelphia, providing high quality, affordable theatre and arts education since 2005. A 501(c)3 nonprofit organization since 2004, Curio operates out of the Calvary Center on the corner of 48th Street and Baltimore Avenue. Curio’s mission is to develop artistic talent through ensemble, company based training and rehearsal processes? and to further academic, social and personal development through arts education. Please note: No cars are permitted into the Cemetery gates, but there is free street parking all around. Also, please be aware that only the first 200 people are permitted into the performance per night.

General admission is available for walk-ups only. Ample seating is provided on a first come first served basis but feel free to bring your own chairs or blankets to lounge on!
