Cabaret connoisseurs the Bearded Ladies return with another platter of deliciously dangerous, sensationally sweet, and provocatively pleasurable Late Night Snacks. Running throughout the Fringe Festival in a refitted East Passyunk industrial space, these after-hours performances feature different artists every night—from opera singers to drag queens, cabaret stars to art clowns, and everything in between.

Late Night Snacks ingredients may include artistic experimentation, adult content, consensual touch, ear worms, nudity, jubilation, great selfie material, rampant queerness, and many repeat visits. Not every show will be for everyone so feel free to come, and go, as you please. You know your diet, taste, allergies, and aphrodisiacs better than we. Late Night Snacks are experimental and works-in-progress.  When we can, we will provide detailed ingredients for each show ahead of time online so you can decide how best to snack.  When ingredients include any items listed below, there will be a notice at the on-site box office.

About the Artists

Pilar Salt: The Playboy Article of Burlesque, Pilar was the co-creator/curator of AGITATED! (Philly’s all-politics performance showcase.) She has performed extensively with Dark Side Burlesque, The Bare and the Bold, Broad Street Burlesque, and others throughout the city. Up next: Rabbit Punch: a short theatre festival (November 14th and 15th at Franky Bradley’s)

Darlinda Just Darlinda: The Village Voice calls Darlinda Just Darlinda a “Mastermind of Bizarre Extravaganza!” Darlinda has been working as a Performance Artist and Producer since 2004 in NYC and internationally. The New York Times calls Darlinda’s shows “shockingly explicit.” Darlinda has also performed Off Broadway with Taylor Mac in The Lily’s Revenge (Obie), & 24 Decades of Popular Music (Obie), in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She’s lectured for Yale’s infamous Sex Week. She’s made performance art with her year long “life as art” Year in Rainbow and Untitled Rainbow Project. USA Today says “It’s hard to top Darlinda.”

US (given name Anthony Martinez-Briggs), is a member of the music making tribe ILL DOOTS as well as the Wilma’s HotHouse acting company, and frequent maker with Bearded Ladies Cabaret. They are a forced to be reckoned with, poetic, potent and ready to party. Grown on a hip hop aesthetic and chiseled by their experiences in the Philadelphia theater scene they live for the intersections and collaborations; their goal: to get you connected to yourself, the world, and each other.
