Cabaret connoisseurs the Bearded Ladies return with another platter of deliciously dangerous, sensationally sweet, and provocatively pleasurable Late Night Snacks. Running throughout the Fringe Festival in a refitted East Passyunk industrial space, these after-hours performances feature different artists every night—from opera singers to drag queens, cabaret stars to art clowns, and everything in between.

This performance is followed by a Closing Night Party!

Important Nutritional Information
Late Night Snacks ingredients may include artistic experimentation, adult content, consensual touch, ear worms, nudity, jubilation, great selfie material, rampant queerness, and many repeat visits. Not every show will be for everyone so feel free to come, and go, as you please. You know your diet, taste, allergies, and aphrodisiacs better than we. Late Night Snacks are experimental and works-in-progress.  When we can, we will provide detailed ingredients for each show ahead of time online so you can decide how best to snack.  When ingredients include any items listed below, there will be a notice at the on-site box office.

About the Artists

Cookie Diorio is a Philadelphia-based drag performer, a classically trained vocalist, a songwriter, an activist, a husband, mama to the cutest little Yorkshire Terrier ever, a music teacher and lover of all things sparkly. She grew up in historic Auburn, NY with gospel in her ears, civil rights in her blood and many songs in her heart. Cookie mastered walking in 5 inch stilettos in the night clubs of Boston, achieved her hair fantasy by studying vintage videos of Grace Bumbry and founded the giving project Art of the Heel.

Eric Jaffe is a world ukulele champion, an above average singer, and a genderless glamour monster. Eric is the winner of the 2018 Drag Awards, Best Host, Best Alternative Drag Queen, And Drag Queen of the Year. You can find Eric scouring the Philadelphia cabaret and drag scene screaming at the top of their lungs about food. Eric hosts a monthly cabaret every third Saturday at Tavern on Camac called The Eric Jaffe Show. Eric recently starred in the original queer musical Basic Witches at The Arden, and starred and directed Thweeney Todd: The Flaming barber of Fleek Street, at Franky Bradley’s. They are currently working on their next parody musical, Gay Mis which will be a part of the 2019 Fringe Festival. Jess Conda is a Philadelphia based performance artist. “Too musical theater for rock&roll and too rock&roll for musical theater,” she works regularly as an emcee in Philly’s cabaret scene, most notably as Muff Johnson, rock chanteuse and co-host with The Peek A Boo Revue, the city’s longest running burlesque troupe. Jess was recently seen in Do you Want A Cookie with the Bearded Ladies and in Pig Iron Theatre Company’s A HARD TIME, an alt-cabaret love letter to the Patriarchy devised with Jenn Kidwell and Mel Krodman. 2013 Philadelphia Magazine’s “Best Star Power.” Her mother says she’ll never get a husband with a mouth like that.

John Jarboe is a cabaret artist, director, writer, historian, and host serving you revolution, herstory, queer community making, and a whole lot of glitter. She is the founding artistic director of The Bearded Ladies Cabaret, transforming opera, cabaret, and live performance, making work that will make you sing, dance, and question. www.beardedladiescabaret.com
