Martha Graham Cracker Cabaret
Tuesday, September 19
“The Drag Queen King of Philadelphia.” The Philadelphia Inquirer
The hairy-chested, fake eyelash-laden alter-ego of thespian Dito Van Reigersberg performs a balls-to-the-wall drag cabaret. Backed by her stellar band and with her killer voice, Martha Graham Cracker takes you on a raucous, joyous, uninhibited ride around her world.
Martha Graham Cracker is very pleased to welcome special guests Erica Miller on violin, Ernest Stuart on trombone, and the Philly debut of one-of-a-kind artist Glockabelle. Glockabelle is Annabelle Cazes. She shreds two Casio VL-Tone calculator keyboards and a glockenspiel with eight thimbles while she races against her 1982 drum machine, Monsieur Dix. She has toured with the Fiery Furnaces, Kaki King and The Go! Team. Her first EP entitled “Wolf BBQ” was hailed by SPIN Magazine as “Anarchic Enchantment” and by The Onion’s A.V. Club as “showcasing her art-punk, synth-pop provocateur music with gleeful abandon, while still highlighting her exquisite musicianship.” This will be her first appearance in Philadelphia.
