From the creator of Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie reckons with loss, love, and immortality against the backdrop of the haunting Woodlands Mansion and Cemetery in West Philadelphia. A generation lost after World War I, live in the memory of their loved ones as the young men and women they once were. But, what might happen if one of these lost children returned?

Directed by Claire Moyer.

The Philadelphia Artists’ Collective (The PAC) have been one of the most successful young theater companies in Philadelphia of the past decade, winning critical and commercial acclaim alike. This award winning, site-specific, classical theatre company (2015 June and Steve Wolfson Barrymore Award for an Emerging Theater) has been a consistent presence in the Fringe beginning with La Vida Es Sueno in 2010 and continuing with Fringe hits Creditors, The Sea Plays, The Rape of Lucrece, The Captive, and Iphigenia at Aulis.
The PAC has partnered with The Independence Seaport Museum and Cruiser Olympia, Physick House, Tall Ship Gazela and Franklin Inn Club to bring audiences into venues either not open to the public or rarely used for performance. The PAC are known for intimate, visceral shows that pack a punch; sensitive direction and powerful performances. It’s why The PAC has been noted to “show that smart direction and skilled performance never go out of style” Broad Street Review.

The Woodlands, a 54-acre undulating landscape is at once a one-of-a-kind 18th-century English pleasure garden, 19th-century rural cemetery, and a modern green oasis for its neighbors in bustling University City and West Philadelphia. The Woodlands was designated a National Historic Landmark District in recognition of its unique history and rich resources. Actively used today, the cemetery, mansion, landscape, and programs are an educational resource for local school children, community residents, university students, as well as for a small, highly motivated cadre of scholars seeking further understanding of American architectural and botanical history, urban development, and the origin and growth of West Philadelphia. Today, their mission is to enrich the lives of area residents and visitors by serving as a hub for activities and educational programs that interpret, celebrate and make available to the public The Woodlands’ historic buildings and tranquil green space.

Note: The performance takes place inside the mansion and outside on the grounds – in the event of rain the entire performance will be inside the mansion. Limited seating will be available to accommodate those patrons who have discomfort standing for a half hour
