Me, More Normal is a play that explores the spectrum of acceptable behavior. Tenara meditates on her childhood growing up with a brother with autism, and her dawning understanding that the world is quick to label what is normal and what is not.

Tenara Calem (writer/performer) is a creator/performer currently based in Philadelphia, PA. She’s worked with a number of companies in the Philly area, including Pig Iron Theatre Company, Painted Bride Arts Center, and First Person Arts. She moved to Philly after a year working with Trinity Rep in Providence, Rhode Island, where she never tried coffee-milk, just like she refuses to try water-ice here in Philadelphia.

Krista Thorp (director) is a freelance director/stage manager in Philadelphia, PA. She currently works with Yes! And…Collaborative Arts in Germantown and 1812 Productions and has worked with Theatre Exile and EgoPo. She came to Philadelphia by way of Vermont and the Dorset Theatre Festival, where she learned which forrest berries were safe for human consumption. John Bezark (projection designer) is a Philadelphia-based Interactive designer, Video Artist and Theater Director. He graduated from Fordham University with a BA in Theatrical Directing and he’s directed several plays in NYC including an interactive Woyzeck where the audience voted on their smart phones in order to shape the outcome of events. He has studied and performed in Philly, New York, Los Angeles, Prague, Italy, Scotland and Moscow through such programs as the La MaMa International Directors Symposium, the Moscow Art Theatre, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
