Sarah Knittel is a Philadelphia based theater maker, improviser, and self-professed muse. In 2017, she was named the inaugural Automatic Arts Artist in Residence and one of Phindie’s “Philly Actors Who Are Better Than You (at acting)…” A graduate of the Pig Iron School of Physical and Devised Theater and Cosmic Medicine as well as NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She has worked with Antigravity Theater Project, Pig Iron Theater Co., the Philadelphia Artists Collective, Johnny Shortcake, Hedgerow, Curio Theatre Co., and Hella Fresh Theater company. She is also a member of the N Crowd, the longest running short form improv troupe in Philadelphia. Sarah Knittel is proud recipient of 1812’s Jilline Ringle Couple Extra Bucks Fund for Nightmare Fuel.
