A triptych tribute to everyone’s inner geek, Now Now Oh Now marries serious scientific content with the playful pleasures of puzzles, gaming, and the undeniable satisfaction of Murder Mystery Theatre. This intimate performance features a locked room puzzle, a lecture on evolutionary biology, and the world’s weirdest night of Dungeons and Dragons—all woven together to create a picture of choice and chance shaping the world.
Since 1995, the Austin-based Rude Mechs has created a mercurial slate of twenty-three theatrical productions—a genre-defying cocktail of big ideas, cheap laughs, and dizzying spectacle. FringeArts has previously presented Rude Mechs’ The Method Gun (2011 Fringe Festival) and Get Your War On (2006 Fringe Festival).
Note: Audience experience is roaming: wear comfortable shoes and consider leaving big purses and bags at home.
“When evolution is a process with no arrival, the present becomes very important.” Thomas Graves, co-creator and performer
“Utterly engaging and a wonder unto itself.” Jeanne Claire van Ryzin, Austin American-Statesman
