Two vicious step-siblings of an elite Manhattan prep school make a wager: to deflower the new headmaster’s daughter before the start of term.

No tickets necessary. No outside food or beverages permitted. In the event of rain, the screening will be cancelled, but La Peg will still be open for drinks.

Join us at 6:30pm in La Peg for a free FringeArts Historical Building Tour and then head out to Haas Biergarten at 8pm for some pre-show movie quizzo. Make sure to check out this week’s themed cocktail, Kathryn’s Ice Tea.

A summer-long themed series of free film screenings in the Haas Biergarten underneath the Ben Franklin Bridge. Enjoy dinner and drinks from La Peg inside and outside in Haas Biergarten. Films are shown every Wednesday evening at 8:30 beginning on June 12th and ending on August 21st (excluding July 3). This year, June’s theme is Record Stores, July’s theme is ’90s Throwbacks, and August’s theme is Unconventional Love Stories.

“With everything going on in this crazy world, I thought we all deserved some much-needed time off from reality. Whether you want an excuse to celebrate a belated Rex Manning Day, pretend you invented Post-Its, or just want to hear the most annoying sound in the world, there’s an escape for everyone. There is something incredibly special about seeing a movie for, perhaps, the hundredth time surrounded by dozens of people who love it just as much as you do. It’s as close as you’ll get to actually seeing it for the first time again.” –Catherine Preston, curator

Coming up later this summer:

July: ’90s Throwbacks
7/31 Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion

August: Unconventional Love Stories
8/7 Working Girl
8/14 Dumb and Dumber
8/21 Raising Arizona
