The work is a series of real and imagined conversations, experiences and collaborations between the dancers and a selection of 20th century female choreographers.

Denise Murphy is a dance artist currently on faculty in the School of Dance at the University of the Arts, where she serves as academic advisor and teaches a variety of theory, performance and seminar courses.  Denise graduated from the University of North Carolina with an MFA in Choreography and received an award for outstanding teaching in 2012.  In addition, she received her B.S. in Dance Education from New York University. Denise worked in arts administration, taught Master classes and created choreography for students at The Ailey School in New York City.  In 2012, Denise presented a work at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. at the National College Dance Festival and received the award for Outsanding Achievement in Choreography from Dance Magazine and ACDFA.   As a performer, Denise has worked with Jan Van Dyke, Deborah Damast, Elizabeth Auclair, Duane Cyrus, Douglas Dunn, Nancy Allison, Kriota Willberg and was a member of IsadoraNow, a dance company dedicated to the legacy of Isadora Duncan. With a great interest in working with students and emerging artists, Denise seeks to design works that are exploratory, educational and allow for artists to work cooperatively.
