Pericles is a man who cannot find safe harbor from the storms of fate. Original music and movement help create a dark world of assassins, brothels and shipwrecks for audiences to explore. This rarely produced Shakespearean epic marks the premiere of Die-Cast, founded by designer Thom Weaver and director Brenna Geffers.
The die-cast process uses molten metals to completely fill a mold in order to create something new. This is how we view theater’s relationship to its space; the work should seek to fill and then be molded by the space it is in. We believe that the audience’s relationship to their environment can be as potent and transformative as their relationship to the text. We choose non- theatrical spaces and use them as a foundation from which the piece is built. Die-Cast was founded by director Brenna Geffers and designer Thom Weaver. We invite you to now exit the theater. Pericles is part of the 2017 Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival on Cape Cod twptown.org
