About Queer Bait
Queer Bait, an alt comedy duo, is 40% Rose Luardo, 40% Shannon Fahey, and 20% overcompensation due to lack of proper attention in childhood. Queer Bait mixes the ugly with the gorgeous, the funny with the devastating, the ketchup with the jelly. They have performed all around the US of A including: Helltrap Nightmare (The Hideout, Chicago), Union Hall (Brooklyn, NY), Good Good Comedy Theatre (Philadelphia, PA), and The Cheesecake Factory bathroom. Combining dance, high fashion, vomit, and lip gloss, Rose & Shannon create comedy you’ll be dreaming about in your nightmares and your wet dreams.
Rose Luardo is an artist, actor, and comedian. Her solo work is concentrated in performance installations that use sculpture, costume, character, and video. To get a sense of her style, think of a middle-aged pixie foraging through a creative landscape of wigs, costumes, dance routines and burgers. In 2009, she was awarded a residency at Elsewhere Museum in Greensboro, NC and the Odysseys Costa Rica residency in 2013. Her performance/fine art has been exhibited at The Fairmount House (Philadelphia), Little Berlin (Philadelphia) PRACTICE Gallery (Philadelphia), Space 1026 (Philadelphia), Slow Culture Gallery (Los Angeles), LUMP Gallery (Raleigh), PS1 MOMA (NYC), Clocktower Gallery (NYC) and Art Basel (Miami). She is one half of the comedy duo The New Dreamz (with Andrew Jeffrey Wright) and Queer Bait (with Shannon Fahey) and a member of the sketch group Darlings performing monthly at Good Good Comedy Theatre in Philadelphia.
Shannon Fahey is a comedian currently working in Philadelphia. Shannon has been writing and producing solo and collaborative work for over 5 years. She is 1/2 of independent alt-comedy duo Queer Bait (along with Rose Luardo), writes and acts in the comedy collective Darlings and co-hosts the monthly show Scarred for Life at Good Good Comedy Theatre. She has been featured on numerous recorded podcasts including Las Culturistas and Dark Tank. Shannon has been a part of the Fringe Festival for 4 years running. In her spare time, Shannon teaches improv at Good Good Comedy Theatre, freelances as an illustrator, and babysits.
