Rat Ruse A Philly-Style Parody of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap
Without a Cue Productions
Written by Shelli Pentimell, Justin Caiazzo, Josh Blakesley In collaboration with Traci Connaughton and the initial cast: Josh Blakesley as Giles Raston, Justin Caiazzo as Christopher Wren, Shelli Pentimall as Mrs. Boyle, Cubby Altobelli as Mr. Paravacini, Kellie Cooper as Mollie Raston, Blaze Murray as Detective Sergeant Trotter, Emma Howard as Miss Casewell
The longest-running stage play of all time gets a Philly makeover, but with all the Agatha Christie twists one would expect. Audience members will have a chance to solve the mystery; they may even be invited into the action itself. No fourth wall is permanent in this laughfest presented by the actors of Without a Cue Productions. Set in a South Philly rowhouse, a murder occurs, and then houseguests are trapped [thanks a lot, SEPTA]. As the story unfolds, secrets are revealed and the danger amps up. Who will survive? Who did what, and where, and why?
