Combines Rumi poetry, puppetry, and animation. Love, tragedy, humor collide when Iranian émigré and bride-to-be, Darya, flees her wedding, while having flashbacks to her childhood during the Iranian Revolution, questioning: Is love worth the risk?

Pantea Productions is a multi-disciplinary theater company led by Leila Ghaznavi with a rotating roster of contributing artists. Silken Veils, has toured nationally and was featured on the Leonard Lopate Show. It received numerous five star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was nominated for the prestigious Fringe First award, for best new work. This production of Silken Veils, is a collaboration between Leila and Pantea Productions and the Indy Convergence. The Indy Convergence is a non-profit Indianapolis arts organization dedicated to the growth of artists. Silken Veils will be performed in Indianapolis in August before returning to Philadelphia for its second Philly Fringe run.
