Set in the isolated mountains of Connemara in County Galway, Ireland, Martin McDonagh’s award-winning play tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan, a lonely woman in her early forties, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother. When Mag interferes in Maureen’s possibly final chance of a romantic relationship, the war between mother and daughter escalates in ways both hilarious and terrifying.

In addition to our Mainstage season, we offer theater classes for youth and adults, Children’s Theater productions, and a Reader’s Theater to workshop new plays.
