Opera on Tap Philadelphia explores the many perspectives of American patriotism and the accompanying sacrifices made through American Art Song.

For Love of Country: 

“They will take our freedom from our cold dead hands…” Desperate to save their cause, an aging patriot and his ambitious spokeswoman turn to a suspiciously foreign-sounding graduate student. This contemporary opera combines themes from America, Russia, love, politics, loyalty, and betrayal.

Health & Safety

Proof of vaccination or negative test result less than 48 hours before showtime is required to attend this event. For the safety of audiences, artists, staff, and our greater community, you must be fully vaccinated to attend this event. Fully vaccinated means two weeks after your second dose. You will be asked to show proof of vaccination or test result before entering the venue. Accepted forms for proof of vaccination include: a physical vaccine card with your name on it or a digital photo of your vaccine card on a cell phone. Please plan accordingly.

Masks must also be worn for the duration of the performance.
