About the Artists
Founded in the summer of 2019, Poético Dance Collective is a performing group of Philly-based artists, a space for creative expression, and a platform for change. Poético involves mixed media, visual arts, and musical composition in collaboration with dance in all its forms, and explores different spaces for uniting audiences and community members. Founded by local dancer and choreographer Catherine Westerduin, Poético has debuted in festivals and showcases around Philadelphia and has hosted artists from across the country both live and virtually. Poético aims to represent new and emerging work and artists, and share these gifts with our community.
