Danse4Nia (Conservatory) in collaboration with Grounded Theatare presents “TRIGGERED”, a youth production that focuses on the gun violence in the city of Philadelphia.  Written by Sha’von Smith, directed by Diane S. Leslie, “TRIGGERED’ tackles the issues of why gun violence plagues our city while seeks to ask the question, “how can it stop?”

This original youth production premieres in the 2022 Philly Fringe Festival at the Performance Garage September 30 & October 1, 2022 7:30 pm. General Admission $25 in advance $30 @ the door.

Health & Safety

About the Artist

 

Danse4Nia is one of Philadelphia’s premiere performing arts organizations that serves as the home to professional project-based dance company Phoenix Danse (formerly known as Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble), youth dance company Nia-Next and arts education, performing arts training program Danse4Nia Conservatory which was the receipt of the 2021 George Bartol Foundation Award for Excellence in Arts Education. Founded in 2006 by Antoinette M. Coward-Gilmore, Phoenix Danse (Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble) made its debut in the 2006 Philly Fringe Festival featuring choreography by founder Coward-Gilmore, 2006 resident choreographer Shawn-LaMere Williams and the late Faye B. Snow. Since its inception, Danse4Nia/ Phoenix Danse has performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, nationally and internationally all while become a 501c3 non-profit organization, the sponsor of a youth company and stellar training program developing young artist since 2009.
