I moved to the city, alone, shortly before the 2019 Festival. I sat down with the festival guide and google maps, and planned a month of shows all across the city. It’s how I first explored Philadelphia and got my bearings in a new place, and I definitely wouldn’t have done that without the impetus of the festival. I still think of every area of the city as “the place where I saw ______”
