We performed Shakespeare’s As You Like it outdoors at The Spring Gardens Community Garden and one performance ended up at the same time as a festival in the park next door. There was very loud music and “Despacito” played at least twice during the performance, but we all had an incredible time! The audience stayed the entire show, encouraging us to keep going even though we were shouting over the music. We danced and improvised lines, it was like having a little private joke just between the audience and the performers. It really highlighted the magic of live theatre!
