Wheelchair/Limited Mobility Seating

FringeArts Theater is equipped with a wheelchair accessible ramp entrance as well as an elevator. We have 20 wheelchair and companion seats available in the theater’s standard layout. Please talk to the FringeArts Front of House manager upon arrival for assistance.  Limited wheelchair accessible parking is available.  Please call 215-413-1318 or email patronservices@fringearts.com to ensure your accessible parking spot.


Accessibility Services

 

Audio Description: 
– For patrons who are blind or low-vision
– It is a narration service that attempts to describe what the sighted person takes for granted — those images that a person who is blind or visually impaired formerly could only experience through the whispered asides from a sighted companion.
– Available in tandem with sensory tours for select performances (See below listings)
– Available upon request with one week notice

Hearing Assistance Headsets:

– For patrons who are hearing impaired
– Available upon request at the FringeArts box office (desk behind the bar in La Peg)
– Available for all shows that utilize audio amplification

Open Captioning:
– For patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing
– Text display of all of the words and sounds heard during the performance.
– Available upon request with one week notice

ASL Interpretation:
– For patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing
– An interpreter will translate spoken English into American Sign Language
– Available for select performances (See listings below)
– Available upon request with one week notice

 All accessibility service requests require one week’s notice.

FringeAccess Membership Program

Pennsylvania Access Card holders can receive up to four (4) tickets discounted to $2 each for any FringeArts performance (excluding self-presented Fringe Festival shows). Cards must be registered, either online during ticket purchase or in-person at our Fringe Arts offices. Tickets can be purchased online using your FringeAccess Membership login or by calling 215-413-1318. Tickets can be reserved by phone to be paid for at the box office before the show.
