Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting our website.

FringeArts respects your privacy.
The below privacy policy tells you how we use personal information collected via this website, at events, and at the time of ticket purchases or donations. This policy may be changed or amended. All changes will be posted on this webpage as they occur. We encourage you to review this privacy policy periodically to make sure you understand how personal information you provide is being used.

Note: The privacy practices stated here apply to FringeArts only. These practices do not apply to single artists or other artistic companies/organizations engaged with FringeArts. This website may contain links to third party websites. FringeArts is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these websites. You may contact those other parties to learn about their privacy policies.

Collection of Information
People choose to interact with FringeArts in different ways that require us to gather personal information, and we want to know who our patrons are so that we can better serve them. The amount and type of information gathered depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, on our homepage a visitor may sign up for our email list by simply entering their email address. Those who engage in transactions such as purchasing tickets, making a donation, or reserving a seat to a special event are asked to provide additional information, including the necessary personal and financial information required for the transaction.

FringeArts does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under the age of 13, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Use of Information
The personal information FringeArts collects allows us to keep our patrons posted on what is happening in the Philadelphia artistic community and with FringeArts. It also helps us to improve and deliver our services, content, and advertising to our patrons. If you do not want to be on our mailing list you can opt out anytime by contacting our office at Info@FringeArts.com; you may also unsubscribe from our email list with the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any received email. We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve our programs.

Financial data such as credit card numbers from transactions are encrypted and sent to a secure payment gateway. Credit card numbers are visible to FringeArts employees only to process authorized transactions.

Distribution/Sharing of Information
As a member of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance (GPCA), FringeArts participates in a secure data-sharing network with other GPCA member organizations. This program is managed by the GPCA in partnership with TRG Arts, a data-driven consulting company that provides management of patron data and adheres to best practices in data security and privacy. This program provides a secure environment for the sharing of non-sensitive patron data such as names and mailing addresses between FringeArts and other organizations. Sensitive data such as credit card numbers is not shared. Only non-sensitive data is shared, and it is only available for one mailing per organization at a time, at the discretion of the organization that owns the data. An organization that wishes to use the patron data of another organization must formally request it from the organization that owns the data, and the shared data is protected by a one-time-use agreement that limits the use of the data to a singular mailing. We want you to be informed and stay up to date on what is happening in the local artistic community, and we believe that you, FringeArts, and the community at large benefit from this type of cooperation. If you do not wish to have your name and address traded with other local arts organizations please contact us at Info@FringeArts.com.

As a mission-driven organization that presents and supports artists, it is our business practice to share non-sensitive patron data with the artists and artistic companies/organizations that engage with FringeArts. Sensitive patron data such as credit card numbers are never shared. FringeArts is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. You may contact these other parties to learn about their privacy policies.

Confidentiality and Security
FringeArts limits access to personal information about our patrons to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs. We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.

Giving to FringeArts through a Foundation or Donor Advised Fund
Many Producers Circle level donors choose to support FringeArts through a charitable foundation or a donor advised fund. According to IRS regulations, donors may not receive any tangible benefits or services in exchange for the grant from their foundation or donor advised fund. In these situations, FringeArts can offer basic benefits that carry no tangible value. These available benefits include:

  • Recognition as a donor, including the opportunity to be named as a Sponsor of a select show of your choice during any of our festivals (with a gift of $1,000 or more)
  • Invitations to Fringe Festival VIP Opening Night, annual Works-in-Progress Member Appreciation Rehearsal Receptions, and Inside Look
  • Invitations to other exclusive, private events throughout the year
  • 20% discount at Fringe Bar

If you prefer to receive the full range of available goods and services associated with the gift level that you choose, including an annual FringeArts membership for discounts, and complimentary tickets to performances and FEASTIVAL, you may make a personal payment to purchase the value of benefits at cost. Please note that the personal payment amount cannot be subtracted from the foundation or donor advised fund grant amount.
