Dean and Britta‘s 13 Most Beautiful…Songs for Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests sets music to the screen tests of some of the best-known members of Warhol’s Factory crew, including Billy Name, Nico, Lou Reed and Edie Sedgwick.

The idea behind 13 Most Beautiful… is somewhat reminiscent of John Cale’s Eat/Kiss, a magisterial and deeply moving musical accompaniment to the eponymous Warhol films. The Andy Warhol Museum and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust commissioned Dean & Britta to write these soundtracks, and togther with the museum, they developed the multimedia performance that you’ll see at Live Arts this fall.
