For FATEBOOK, which takes place across real and virtual spaces, New Paradise Laboratories auditioned performers via YouTube. Here’s Emily Letts, who was reared in Climax, Michigan. She’s a theater major at Swarthmore and will be attending Headlong Dance Theater’s Performance Institute this fall. But in FATEBOOK world she’s simply known as Anita Prowler.

TONIGHT at Arts Bank come the FATEBOOK a meet-the-artist event where director Whit MacLaughlin will screen videos from and about the characters, and discuss the process of online character development and profile building, the creation of a virtual community around the show, and dueling ideas about presence and identity, along with some of the cast. A reception follows.
