The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia announced the 2009 Barrymore Award nominations yesterday. Cinderella from People’s Light and Theatre and Bruce Graham’s Something Intangible for Arden Theater (Hi Bruce!) each clean up with 13 nominations, and the Inquirer‘s Howard Shapiro writes, “The top nominations for two new shows underscore Philadelphia’s continuing growth as a birthplace for stage work.” Damn skippy, I say.
