>>>Application deadline for First Person Arts’s (yes, that’s the right possessive) Salon du Festival is today! As we’ve reported in this space before, the salons are pretty cool events, and the First Person Festival in November will attract a solid crowd. And if they select you, you get a chunk of the door take. Nice!

>>>Take me straight to Brooklyn! Megan Mazarick, who’s performing in Kill Me Now and competing in The A.W.A.R.D. Show!, heads up to NYC with Avatard, what she calls her “dancing tribute to video game nerd-dom.” Part of the Collaborations in Dance Festival at Triskelion Arts in Williamsburg. Check out the Youtube for Avatard here.

>>>Advance notice: Bryn Mawr announced their visiting writer series, and the lineup is great. It kicks off with novelist Lorrie Moore, popular among many of my friends because we share an alma mater. Be sure to check out Suzan-Lori Parks on October 20. Her fantastic play Topdog/Underdog is one of the early performances at the Fringe Festival next month, running September 2 through September 6.

>>>Time Out New York is trying to review all of the New York International Fringe Festival. One week in, they’ve already got a bunch down. Think they’ll make it?

>>>And FATEBOOK has added two shows to their lineup: Sunday, September 6, and Sunday, September 13. Both at 8:00 pm. Tix here.
