You probably already know that there’s a Bang on a Can Marathon this year as part of the Live Arts Festival. We thought you’d like to get better acquainted with the musicians who you’ll be seeing on September 12, in this handy video series.

Today, watch bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma tear it up at the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival. The whole song’s great, but Tacuma really takes off at about the five minute mark:

Nice, right? Oh yeah, Calvin Weston’s on drums, and both Tacuma and Weston are playing the Bang on a Can Marathon, which will be nice as well.
