Get Your Learn On: Two Slots Left at Pig Iron’s School
Like Ghostface says in “Child’s Play,” “I wanna go back to school, man/That’s my word, man.” As you must have heard, Pig Iron Theatre’s rigorous and ambitious new training program, the Pig Iron School for Advanced Performance Study, kicks off this fall. 2011 sees the first cohort welcomed into the school, and for a lucky two of you, slots are still available.
For prospective students interested in physical and ensemble-created theater, this might be the place for you. The school promises training in “acrobatics, movement analysis, core physical training, voice, ensemble work and improvisation,” and five- to eight-hour-long class days (!). Luckily, those days will be guided by a bang-up faculty. Applications for these two slots are open on a rolling basis, but if you’re on the fence, decide quickly—applications won’t be accepted again until 2013. Apply here.
