More from the youngs! Meet Lyndsey Piecyk, our Special Events and Development Intern:

I graduated from Gettysburg College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, concentrating in both Jazz Studies and Musicology. Now, I am one semester away from completing my Master of Music in Jazz Studies (Voice) degree from the University of the Arts. I obviously enjoy making, writing, arranging, and listening to music. I am also an avid sports fan (Go Birds and Phillies!) and athlete. I play ultimate Frisbee competitively, and basketball and tennis for fun. My favorite thing to do when I’m not working or in school is to hang at the beach with my boyfriend Kevin and his family, and I love my two cats named Ashton and Lola.

I’ve really enjoyed interning with the Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe this summer, because it has given me first-hand experience working on the business, and particularly the non-profit side of the arts. I especially like my projects regarding our Special Events, most notably FEASTIVAL. It’s going to be the party of the year! Much thanks to this organization for giving me the chance to learn and experience all that they do.
