Press Previews!
I cannot believe that the 2011 Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe open on FRIDAY. Cripes. We have a bunch of great stories in the pipeline for you that will pique your interest in some cool shows, but in the meantime, check out this advance press:
>>>Our fearless leader Nick Stuccio loves all shows equally. Nonetheless, he feeds Philadelphia Magazine some must-sees, and compiles a guide for KYW.
>>>Speaking of KYW, listen to Nick’s full interview with Hadas Kuznits.
>>>Jim Rutter writes up parkour and Traces for the Broad Street Review.
>>>Under the Button has a rundown of the University of Pennsylvania Philly Fringe connections. Go Fightin’ Quakers!
>>>Speaking of Penn, alumnus Jeffrey Barg writes a big feature on what it’s like to get a Philly Fringe Show up and running for Philadelphia Weekly. He’s part of the team behind Wars and Whores: The Henry IV Musical. Perhaps the most important tidbit? He wrote a song for the show called “Make Love from a Horse.”
>>>Also over at PW, J. Cooper Robb and Nicole Finkbiner offer their list of must-sees, including WHaLE OPTICS, Traces, Lady M, Heavy Metal Dance Fag (Hi Janice!), RISK! True Tales Boldly Told, Voice of This Generation: Love Lost, Wawapalooza 5: Under Destruction, and Fresh Laughs.
>>>And hey, there’s Jim Rutter again, covering the Delaware County connection.
