Philly Fringe Vital Stats: Polly Rose Edelstein

Posted September 2nd, 2011

Today, meet somebody behind Crack the Glass Theater’s Trappings, a Philly Fringe show about two women and a 10-year high school reunion. The characters haven’t amounted to much, so they seek out another woman, who creates fake lives for people through her business, “A New You.” Polly Rose Edelstein promises laughs, but isn’t she too young to have been through this? The youngs keep trying to usurp me! They’ll come for you too. Meet Polly:

Name: Polly Rose Edelstein.

Age: 22.

Where were you born? Memphis, Tenn.

What was the first thing you stole? A really ugly shirt from American Eagle.

What was the last performance you saw? The Comedy of Errors with the Philly Shakespeare Theater.

What’s your favorite Philly intersection?
Ridge and Midvale–looked really crazy underwater after Hurricane Irene.

Do you care about the Civil War Sesquicentennial? Did everyone have to look that up on Wikipedia?

What’s the worst thing you ever did for money? Work as a canvasser.

Who’s your favorite Phillies player? Chase Utley

What’s your least favorite country? Georgia. No one knows if you mean the state or country.

Do you know what the Internet is? And how to use it!

Do you have pets? Phoebe, who is more like a personality than she is a cat.

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve ever seen on SEPTA? A cat-sized rat in the subway.

Trappings runs September 8, 10, 14, 15, and 17 at The Actors Center, 257 N. 3rd Street, Old City. All shows 8:00 pm, $15.
