Dance In A Live Arts Show!

Posted April 11th, 2012

Imagine Yourself In The Dance

Have you ever been in the audience at a Live Arts show and wished you were performing instead? Have you noticed the thrill performers get when they’ve accomplished something  spectacular? We invite you to experience this for yourselves. This year, the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival will present its largest work in our sixteen-year history: the contemporary line dance Le Grand Continental, featuring over 200 dancers, and you could be one of them!

Le Grand Continental, imagined by Montreal based choreographer Sylvain Émard, is a joyous 30-minute dance work which will assemble 200+ dancers of all ages and backgrounds to represent the personality of Philadelphia. Presented with support from PNC Arts Alive and the City of Philadelphia Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, we are proud to plunge into this epic dance event. The only thing missing is YOU.

If you love to dance—heck, even if you’ve just taken a swing at the Electric Slide at your cousin’s wedding—we would love to see you at our Recruiting Sessions on May 15 and 16, 2012. SIGN UP HERE!
