Who’s Who in Blue Heaven 2020

Blue Heaven is back for its second coming this February 7th and 8th and it’s belly aching, catch your breath, tears out your eyes, funny. This FringeArts comedy festival brings to you a lineup of exceptionally exciting artist/writer/comedians who aren’t afraid to push a few boundaries.

Joel Kim Booster

 

Joel Kim Booster is a Chicago-bred, L.A. based comedian has been featured on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Netflix’s The Fix, Comedy Central’s The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, This Is Not Happening and @midnight, Logo’s Comedy Cabaret and truTV’s Comedy Knockout. He also has a Comedy Central series with Patti Harrison called Unsend (see above) Now, he’ll be headlining day two of Blue Heaven at 11pm. 

 

Patti Harrison 

 

Patti Harrison brings her signature, unique brand of comedy to Blue Heaven, headlining Friday with a few talented friends alongside her. Patti has been profiled by Rolling Stone, The New York Times, GQ, Interview, Time, Vulture, and BUST Magazine, among others. This summer she was honored as one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch at this year’s prestigious Just for Laughs festival in Montreal.

 

 Lorelei Ramirez

 

Lorelei is an artist, comedian, and writer based in Brooklyn. They’ve been seen in many comedy shows, most currently recurring on HBO’s new half-hour comedy Los Espookys’ opposite Fred Armisen. With their show title Alive! (For Now) Lorelei Ramirez’s playful morbidity seeps through in this multimedia comedy special, which invites us all to be unsettled together in this unsettling moment. Crafting at the intersection of art and comedy, Lorelei perverts the familiar and profanes the sacred—all in pursuit of one last laugh.

 

Courtney Pauroso 

 

Coutney Pauroso is an actor/writer/comedian/clown who recently completed sold-out, critically-acclaimed runs of her solo show Gutterplum at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Soho Theater London, and her home theater in Los Angeles, The Lyric Hyperion. She has been featured on Comedy Central’s Key & Peele, ABC’s American Housewife, and Go90’s Like And Subscribe and Bad Internet on YouTube Red. She’ll appear in Blue Heaven with her smash hit, Gutterplum, her solo show which can only be described  as a “dangerously delightful” byThe Scotsman. 

 

 

Megan Stalter

 

Megan is an actress and comedian based in NYC with monthly shows at Union Hall in New York. Megan is also a creator of her own show on Youtube The Megan Stalter Show, Freakfest in Chicago, and co-creator of National Lampoon Radio Hour: The Podcast. According to Meg she manages to be both Alice and the Mad Hatter all in one. What could be more enchanting than that?

 

 Sarah Squirm

 

Sarah Squirm is back for her second year in a row! Squirm is known to mix it up with her multimedia art performance that features gross-out body horror. Sarah worked on Netflix’s Magic for Humans and wrote on The Eric Andre Show for Adult Swim. She is best known for her popular Chicago performance, Helltrap Nightmare.

 

Natalie Palamides

 

Natalie Palamides brings her gender bending show, NATE, to Blue Heaven with critical acclaim, including sold out runs in Edinburgh, Los Angeles, and New York City. Natalie’s past work includes Upright Citizens Brigade, The Groundlings, Pig Iron Theatre Company in Philly and The Idiot Workshop. Her TV credits also include voicing the role of Buttercup on the reboot of PowerPuff Girls.

 

Jamie  Loftus

 

Jamie Loftus is a writer, stand-up comic and animator who, in 2018, Vulture called one of the Best New Comedians to Watch. Most recently a writer on the Adult Swim series, Robot Chicken, Jamie currently hosts the HowStuffWorks feminist movie podcast THE BECHDEL CAST. Her show, Boss Whom is Girl, explores #feminism.Well, a toxic corporate feminist (Shell Gasoline-Sandwich) who is teaching all fellow girlbosses how to use technology to steal data for fun. 

 

Max Wittert

 

Max Wittert is a comedian, artist, and animator from LA, now based in NYC. His work has been featured on Buzzfeed and in The New Yorker. His solo animated comedy show Portrait of The Artist Seated With Grapes has sold out rooms in New York City and recently played the New York Comedy Festival. Portrait of The Artist Seated With Grapes, is a visually stunning show, showcasing Wittert’s artistic and comedic talent, you won’t want to miss it. 

 

Spike Einbinder 

 

Joining Patti Harrison on stage is a shape-shifting demon and comedian from Los Angeles. Spike Einbinder has appeared in High Maintenance (HBO), Los Espookys (HBO), The Chris Gethard Show and written and starred in multiple episodes of the public access cult comedy series The Special Without Brett Davis.

 

Amy Zimmer 

 

Alongside Spike and Patti is New York based comedian Amy Zimmer. She has performed at venues all over New York City, includingThe New York Comedy Festival, MoMA PS1 and the Brooklyn Museum. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Comedy Central, Adult Swim, and more.
