Rite of Spring | Shen Wei Dance Arts | Fringe Festival 2004  Premier international dance company, Shen Wei Dance Arts draws on influences as varied as traditional Chinese culture and arts, European Surrealism, American high modernism, and the ritual power of ancient drama. In 2004, the company brought its piece, Rite of Spring, to FringeArts. 

Pew Center of Art and Heritage: Questions of Practice Interview | Romeo Castellucci | Fringe Festival  2014 + 2016   After making several appearances in the Fringe Festival (first in The Four Seasons Restaurant and later in On the Concept of the Face, Regarding the Son of God and Julius Caesar: Spared Parts), Romeo Castellucci sat down with our friends at the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage and The Philadelphia Museum of Art to talk about his training, the use of the image in theater and more.

Is This A Room (May 5) | Tina Satter & Half Straddle | Fringe Festival 2019   Director Tina Satter and performance-art collective Half Straddle’s, Is This A Room, dramatizes the arrest and inquisition of Reality Leigh Winner, an Air Force veteran and military contractor who was convicted of leaking classified information about Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. This Tuesday, May 5 at 5PM, Tina Satter and actress Emily Davis join Reality Winner’s mother, Billie Winner-Davis, in conversation about the show and what has happened to Reality Winner since her arrest.
