Yes, You Can!
How do we appreciate and include those who are different? Differences can spark interest, curiosity, intrigue, and mystery. They can also trigger notions of fear and guilt that can lead to practices of impatience and exclusion. We, performing artists, and acrobats didn’t come to criticize. We came to amaze with acrobatics and to present a question. What’s the very best we can do with our differing gifts? The question is directed to all audience members, at every age and stage in life. Danny the Acrobat & Rebel Arts Movement present a dazzling case for the value of neurodiversity in the performing arts.
Egg Project
From the award-winning creative team behind xoxo moon girl comes a first look at “Egg Project” — a playful journey of self-renewal featuring duo handstands, bungee hair hanging, magic and physical theatre. As the lingering residue of a troubled past hangs in the space, two characters use the connection they discover to build a world where they can live their fullest dreams. Created by Nicole Burgio, and featuring Jo Kramer, Veronica Teidman and co-directed by Ben Grinberg, this performance will be an early chance to peak into this new world of brittle beauty and bounding transformation.

Egg Project
Almanac Projects, formerly known as Almanac Dance Circus Theatre, is an award-winning, Philly-based producing company dedicated to original works of genre-defying art. Almanac created and launched the award-winning Cannonball, and is now helping independent artists take their best works beyond the Fringe.
Since its founding, Almanac has premiered 16 full-length shows, touring across the United States and internationally in Mexico, Egypt, Croatia and the United Kingdom, popping up from Jacob’s Pillow to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Unlike other performance companies with a singular focus, Almanac uses a collection of genres to push physical limits and put raw humanity on display. We believe that the artful sharing of original stories is a service to humanity. The deep themes and narrative structures of Almanac’s hybrid work take circus beyond “spectacle” into the realm of exploring our innermost truths.
With extensive experience in gymnastics, circus, and physical theater, Nicole Burgio fervently pursues movement through performance, aesthetics, technique, and education. Nicole is proud to have been an acrobatic consultant and ensemble member of Almanac Dance Circus Theater. She toured America, Europe, Asia, and Mexico performing original and ensemble work, and leading educational intensives. Her first solo evening-length production, xoxo moongirl, received critical acclaim at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival, winning a Barrymore award in Philadelphia in 2019.
