Join Sarah and Nate from Acro& for this 75-minute deep dive into handstands that will increase your comfort and confidence being upside-down. We’ll focus on technique and alignment, acro-inspired partner exercises and wall drills, and of course, balancing your handstand, for all skill levels! Yes, handstands can be tricky, but with the right progressions and drills they are more accessible that you think, are tons of fun, AND they’re the perfect way to build full body strength and increase your mobility! In 2021, Nate and Sarah turned their passions Into their work and founded Acro&, a Philadelphia based acro and handstand studio. They, and Acro&!, are firm believers that physical play and general silliness are essential to mental and physical well-being, and that most adults simply don’t have a way to meet these needs; Acro& is the perfect place to fill the void! Acro and handstands are exercise and play, set a container for personal growth and friendship, create a change in perspective, and provide myriad chances to collaborate! More about the owners: Nate is a fitness and movement enthusiast with a background in strength and conditioning as well as passion for learning new things! He is hooked on acro, as it gives him an outlet for exploration, creativity, and teamwork. A competitive gymnast throughout childhood, Sarah has always craved being upside down and bouncing around. As an adult, she fell in love with acro because there is always another skill, a new challenge, and more creativity to be unlocked. They can’t wait to have you in class!
